HomeThe View from 5022

Yes, this is now HOME.  My new home.  A starting place because I am leaving so much behind.

This is also a launching pad or a dry dock from which I will set sail.  As Robert A. Johnson, Jungian psychologist,  describes in his book Living the Unlived Life, I am re-incorporating aspects of myself that had been relegated to the shelf for later use, or as he puts it, “the shadow.”

For years, I couldn’t tell you what kind of music I liked.  Now, I not only recall what music I love, I even know the words, the harmonies, the syncopation.  I have reestablished my earliest priorities:  conversations with God, writing poems and essays, reading beneath a clock that ticks and has a key and pendulum, eating simple meals of soup and bread, taking care of the birds first, and planning for Spring.

I have learned that there are ways of expressing an opinion without resorting to whining or lambasting.  No longer a “bitter blogger,” I hope to add my two cents’ worth in a better way.
